Field notes
A Korean medicine clinic carries a real barrier to entry — the words "herbal medicine" and "acupuncture" read as old-fashioned and hard to approach, especially to a younger audience. Rather than explain that away, I chose to let visitors experience it: a "1-minute constitution check" sits right on the home screen, so a visitor participates before they've read a single line of copy. Treatment categories aren't listed in clinical terms — DIET, BEAUTY, POSTURE and the like sit alongside the Korean labels so what kind of clinic this is reads at a glance — and the doctor's introduction is written around his manner with patients, not his credentials. I ran the whole process: planning, design, and frontend build.
Process
The hero opens on a warm wood-toned interior, and the treatments section flips to a deep navy right after it, giving the scroll a rhythm where the mood resets with every section.
The warm wood tone keeps the identity of a Korean medicine clinic intact while still reading as relaxed as a spa. The treatments section, by contrast, runs on a deep navy — not decoration, but a deliberate point of restraint that makes an information-heavy section read as upscale and trustworthy. The warm palette carries the clinic's identity; the navy carries the weight of trust.
